SHE-Q at Boskalis HIRDES

We, Heinrich Hirdes GmbH, Heinrich Hirdes Kampfmittelräumung GmbH and Heinrich Hirdes EOD Services GmbH, wholly-owned subsidiaries of Boskalis, are committed to creating a balance between economic, ecological and social goals in all areas of our work and to living by this principle. We have defined our corresponding claims in the area of safety, health, environment and quality as a standard, our SHE-Q-Standard.

Health & Safety

The occupational health and safety of our employees is our top priority. Our vision is to create a working environment without work accidents and other incidents. We have summarised this strong safety philosophy in five principles as recommendations, which are supported by the Group's own safety programme NINA. Every employee was involved in developing the safety programme, for every single person is responsible for their own safety and encouraged to become active in safety matters. In regular safety courses, which are held under real conditions and in cooperation with participants such as the emergency services, we test the requirements and actions and condition actions so that they can be called upon at any time in an emergency. Annual inspections ensure our safety standards in works safety. The certification according to Safety Culture Ladder Level 4 confirms the quality of our work.

Environmental protection & Quality

That we offer a high quality of the work performed is not in question. But our quality claim goes further. With corresponding processes and measures, we make sure that agreed customer requirements are completely fulfilled in terms of quality, time and taking into account cost effectiveness. In addition, protection of the environment also belongs to our quality claim. For example, the research programme initiated by Boskalis „Building with Nature“, shows how important the balance between economic development and environmental protection is to us.

Our quality system is monitored and constantly improved in regular management reviews, audits and through other control mechanisms. As an innovative company, we would also like to be pioneers in this area, which is why we always question our own motivation and develop ground-breaking solutions. The executive management ensures that every employee follows and implements the SHE-Q requirements.
