It all started with dredging. Our founder, Heinrich Hirdes, was a ground-breaking pioneer in German hydraulic construction. He founded his company in 1912 with a focus on hydraulic construction and dredging. In the 1950s, the company expanded to include coastal protection, shipping channel development and maintenance on the coast and land reclamation.
Today, our operations draw on more than century of successful dredging and hydraulic construction projects. While many ventures feature highly sensitive areas with very specific demands – such as conservation areas and national parks – our experienced team is always up to the challenge.
